Purple and Blue Eye Look!

Hey guys! I have a look/tutorial for you all that's a bit different! I didn't want to talk because I haven't been feeling well, so I just put music over the video. But everything will be instructed below in detail along with brushes and products used! :D Hope you like!

PRODUCTS USED:
-Too Face shadow insurance
-NYX jumbo eye pencil in MILK
-Wet N Wild Color Icon pencil liners in Purple and Black Black
-Kat Von D Autograph Pencil in Wonderchild
-Kat  Von D Mi Vida Loca palette
-Australis eyeshadow trio in Exotics (THANKS MARY)
-Wet N Wild palettes in Pride and Lust
-Covergirl Cheekers blush in Pretty Peach
-Kat Von D Painted Love lipstick in A-Go-Go
-Loreal Voluminous Full Definition Mascara
-Coastal Scents 88 original palette

BRUSHES USED:
-Large Fluffy blending brush
-e.l.f. professional total face brush
-e.l.f. professional defining eye brush
-small eyeshadow/c brush
-e.l.f. blush brush
-crown brush c431 precision detail brush (pencil brush)

First, start out by priming your eyes! Then, you'll need a nice white base of some sort to help those pretty blues to pop! Take a blue liner (kvd autograph pencil) and draw out a cut crease. Go over that with a purple liner (wnw pencil liner) and do your best to blend it out a bit! Take your pencil brush and get a little bit of the middle purple color from the Lust palette by wnw. Press it over that cut crease and then blend it out. Don't worry abot fallout, it will get covered up! Take the middle shade from the Australis Exotics trio and apply that over the white part of your lid. In the center of the lid, apply Mad Max from the Mi Vida Loca palette, keeping it away from the inner corner, but bringing it into the outer corner.

Get some of the dark navy matte blue color from the Pride palette and apply that to the outer corner of the lid. No whip out your handy dandy 88 palette and your e.l.f. defining eye brush and get some of that light purple shade I pointed to. Pack that over the crease and blend out. Then move on to that true Purple shade at the bottom row of the palette and apply over the crease as well, and bring it under your bottom lash line. Take some of the NYX jumbo eye pencil again, and bring under that bottom/inner corner of the lash line. Blend it out and then go over it with a light pink shade that has hints of purple.

Almost a lilac color. Pack it on good and blend it in with the purple! Get your fluffy brush out and a nice cream colored highlight shade. Apply under your brow bone, and BLEND BLEND BLEND out the edges of that crease!! This step is CRUCIAL. Now get out that precision brush again and your Lust palette and pack on that darkest matte purple color and apply to the crease. Bring it under your lashline as well! Go back in with that first light purple color on the 88 palette and your little defining brush and blend all those pretty purples out! Get some more of that highlight shade on your fluffy brush and blend out some more. Apply that light blue shade from the trio of Exotics in that inner corner of your lid. Groom your brows, and apply some mascara! Tightline and line your waterline with a better liner than mine -n- Powder yo self, add yo blush, and WHAM add yo bright ass orange lipstick.

DONE

I hope you guys enjoyed this look! I may do more looks like this, with the music played over the video in the future! And I also want to note that you can use WHATEVER blue and purple shadows at your disposal! Don't feel obligated to have to use the same products listed or don't think you can't pull of this look with what you already have! :D TREAT YO SELF (I like to say that time to time)

Anyways, I hope you all have a great weekend wherever you may be! <33

LUSH REVIEWS!!!

WEEEE A REVIIIEW!

Okay so I made a video reviewing the three LUSH products I bought in minnesota in July!

A REFRESHING FLORAL DIP INTO SPRINGTIME

When the blossoms burst forth in spring, it’s a tradition to take a picnic and bottle of sake and enjoy the beauty. Noriko, one of our product inventors, hails from Japan and this beautiful Bath Bomb represents what it’s like to be in a park while the breeze blows through the blossoms in the trees. Instead of heading to the park, lay back in serene waters while the gorgeous scents of mimosa and jasmine envelop you to give you the joyful feeling of springtime. Sakura: simple, elegant, and enduringly beautiful bathing.

VANILLA BEAN MASSAGE BAR MADE FOR DESSERT

Skip dessert and head straight to the bedroom with Heavanilli. Or, skip dinner altogether and get to work with our decadent vanilla massage bar. Heavanilli will satisfy your cravings for a rich, vanilla bean desert (and may even lead to other things!). The natural Shea and cocoa butters melt into the skin and release a jasmine, vanilla and tonka bean blend that will make you irresistible to your masseuse. Slip out of your clothes and into Heavanilli.

SOOTHING CALAMINE CLEANSER

Feel like you have the world’s most sensitive skin? Allow us to prescribe you a bar of Fresh Farmacy, our calamine-based cleansing bar. Fresh Farmacy contains chamomile extract to calm, rose and lavender to soothe dry patches and tea tree to clear up any blemishes. The name stems all the way back to the beginning of LUSH, when we held a competition to name the company. Although we (obviously) went with another option, we thought the name appropriate for our problem-solving cleanser.

Update!

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a little while! I'm working the most hours i've ever worked in my life and it's dragging me down. On top of that , I hurt my shoulder pretty bad from sleeping on it weird and lifting heavy freight. Ahhh, I really hate my job and am gonna start looking for a new job in october. One of the employees at ULTA said they'd be hiring in october so i'm going to try applying there. *fingers crossed*

Just thought I'd update you all! I have a review coming up this week for sure after a pretty crazy and slightly gross experience with Fresh Farmacy, aha. I'm just gonna say, that stuff really works.

:p

FIRST IMPRESSIONS Loreal Voluminous Full Definition Mascara

WOW WOW WOW!
Okay I am not one to fall so easily in love with something. But HOT DAMN, this Mascara is the shit. I have gone from dreading to put a mascara wand near my lashes, to wanting to apply this to my lashes every second I'm awake. I can't wait to get more use with this so I can write a full review!

But here's my first impressions/unpackaging of the Loreal Voluminous Full Definition Mascara!

Ahhhhhh, again I'm so sorry I was out of frame! Luckily the focus was on my eyes in this video and you could at least see the mascara's effect!

Anyways, here are a few pictures I snapped!

The pictures below show the difference in my lashes so perfectly! The eye on the left is without the mascara and the one on the right has it on!

I hope you all enjoyed this post and sorry I have made any updates in a few days!
Work has gotten slightly hectic! :c

I think in the very near future though, I'm going to start looking for another job. I had one of the girls at Ulta tell me they would be hiring in october so I think I'm going to apply just to see how it goes! If they are and I get hired, I will probably cry. Here's to hoping for the best! :)

Thanks for reading/watching!
I hope you all are doing well :)

Sunshine Blogger Award

This is pretty awesome! I was given this award by beautymakeupaddict who is just really amazing, beautiful, and talented! She really truly inspires me to do more with my looks, and I can definitely say that I am!
If you aren't already following her, you should really go check out her blog!

1. What do you feel your purpose is in life?
I think it's to help people! In some way, I really think I am supposed to be there to help others. Whether it's a friend, family member, or complete stranger~

2.What is your favorite book?
For the longest time it was The Pornographer's Poem. But then I re-read Girl with a Pearl Earring and am still in love!

3. Who or what inspires you most in life?
My mom will always be my biggest inspiration. She has really gone through hell and back but still maintains the most positive outlook on life. She's just happy with what she has!

4. Would your rather donate time or money?
I would rather donate money to something/someone who really needs it! Like foster homes for animals or those really small hole in the wall animal shelters.

5. What are your best qualities?
A lot of the time, things go through one ear and out the other for me. But I really am a good listener when someone needs help or advice with something. I think that and my positive outlook on anything!

6. If you were an organ in the body which would you be and why?
I'm not sure! I think I would have to say the heart. I've gone through heart-ache over and over but there's always room for love with me.

7. Why do you blog?
To be quite honest, I'd love nothing more that to work from home someday by blogging and doing freelance makeup! Plus I enjoy giving my input on things and hearing what others have to say :)

8. What is your greatest accomplishment?
I think getting promoted to assistant manager at my job was a pretty huge milestone. I was so lazy and didn't want to commit but I really busted my ass to get to wear I am now. I've always felt like a failure since dropping out of school 3 years ago, so having that happen to me was really special!

9. Who is your role model/ hero and why?
My mom is one, and it's the same reason from a few questions up. But the main hero to me is my Brother. He was so amazing and just did his best to live life to it's fullest! He would go out of his way to help others and knew how to do just about everything! If there was something he didn't know how to do or fix, he would look it up and teach himself how! He was an amazing guy who made a lot of bad choices in life. But it never made him a bad person in the slightest.

10. If you could be anything or anyone in the world, what would it be and why?
I really can't think of anyone I'd rather be! But if I could have any job it would definitely be a Makeup Artist! :p

I tag everyone who reads this! Or whoever wants to do it :3

Review on: TheBalm's Nude 'Tude palette

What's that? A review??
:O

I know it's been so long since I've done one of these and for that, I am sorry!
After talking to neonchipmunkmakeup last night, she motivated me to do this :)
So let's get started, shall we?

"These amazing palettes consists of 12 beautiful shadows that make wearind nudes fun! These satiny smooth colors can be applied naturally "i.e. let me slip into something more comfortable" or beautifully layered. The wide range of naked neutrals gives you light highlighters as well as brazen bold shades that workd to add definiton and emphasis. Nude 'Tude allows you to dramatically dress up your eyes (if nothing else!)"

Lets talk about how this baby is packaged. It's a long, sleek, rectangular palette. I wanna say its a thick cardboard material that the shadows are held in. I'm not sure how else to put it! It has a small mirror on the upper half, like most palettes do. When you open it, it also comes with a small double ended brush! The bristles are fairly soft, but are a bit dense? They are...softly dense... The angled brush is very nice for a smoked out wing though. Or for just setting shadow over liner. The shadow end of the brush is too dense to really blend out colors. Maybe you can pack some color on at a bit of an angle? If you can find use out of it, then great! I've yet to use that end of the brush though. Oooh, maybe for adding color along your bottom lash line or for highlighting? Hmm!
Anywho~ each color is in a nice little square pan placed fairly close together and going from light to dark.

The shadows are all listed on the back of the palette, which is always a nice touch! The ingredients are listed as well, along with some company information and warnings.

Okay, these shadows are amazing. I'm not sure if I've stated this before, but this is my favorite palette. Almost all of the shadows are silky smooth and easy to blend. Of course the matte shadows are going to be a bit more difficult to blend, but all in all, these shadows are amazing.

All the swatches below are without a primer/base! Leave a comment below if you'd like to see some swatches with a primer or base! :D

From L to R: sultry, selfish, stand-offish, stubborn, snobby, and sassy

Sassy is a beautiful shimmery white color perfect for highlighting. A little bit goes a long way with this one so you just barely need to tap your brush onto it.
Snobby is the cutest lemonade yellow that almost has a pink hue to it in some lighting. It would make a beautiful color to place all over or even in the corners of your eyes.
Stubborn is a soft satin pink that would also be beautiful as an all over color.
Stand-offish is so so beautiful. It's a shimmery beige color and I personally think It's the prettiest shade in this palette. It's a perfect color for blending out harsh lines and also is great for the lid.
Selfish is satin taupe color that is also very very beautiful. This would fit perfectly as a crease color alone.
Sultry is a lovely matte mocha color which I also think would be great on its own in the crease.

From L to R: sleek, serious, silly, sexy, schitzo, and sophisticated

Sleek is a dark chocolatey matte brown. This would be nice for a more neutral smokey look.
Serious is the stable matte black to seems to appear in a lot of makeup palettes :p Its a lovely black though!
Silly is a very unique color! It's a wonderful brown with bronze glitter throughout it! It totally reminds me of steampunk and would be beautiful as a lid color!
Sexy is a deep maroon color that really holds up to its name. It's another matte shade that would look amazing in your crease.
Schitzo is a more muted copper color. It's still extremely pigmented, as you can see. This color would be amazing anywhere on your eye!
Sophisticated is a tree bark brown with gold flecks throughout it. This would also be beautiful as a crease color!

Time to cap this review off :)
theBalm's Nude 'Tude palette is beautiful and extremely versatile! It's my go to palette, which is surprising even to me because i'm very drawn to loud colors! I think this palette is worth what you pay for and is an amazing staple for any makeup lover :)

I did purchase this for a discounted price of hautelook a while back, but it retails off theBalm's site for $36.00

I hope you all enjoyed this post and are having a wonderful day! (or night!)

BUTTERFLY SERIES!: Owl Eye makeup tutorial

Get Rid of Tangles and Knots with Ease!

Remember these guys?

I remember CLEARLY that if anyone came at me with a brush or comb, I would scream bloody murder. So when my parents found this stuff, they about cried with relief! These detangling sprays are so nice smelling and make any pesky knots and tangles go away almost instantly! Spritz this through your hair (wet or dry) and comb through it. No need to rinse it out afterwards either!

It will leave your hair smelling so fresh and sweet also leave it feeling super soft! I love putting my hair up in a pony tail or bun after using this, then later, taking it down! (who else does that?)
I can't say for sure how much the L`oreal one is, and the price at my local grocery store for Suave's was $2.58.

It's not Paul Mitchell or anything, but for a few bucks, it's worth it! And, if you happen to have kidlets, they can happily use it too :)
